… can change your trading… for the much better.
Every signal (marked “2” above) is preceeded by a setup. (marked “1” above). (Note also that not every setup evolves into a signal.) So, if you look at “2” above, some time ago, depending on the timeframes of the Setup and Signal columns, there must have been a setup message in the Setup column (marked “1”).
But now there isn’t. Why? Because that setup has evolved into a Signal. Which you can see in both the Remek! Market Scanner Pro’s Signal column (marked “2”), and also on our 240min chart (marked “2” on the chart): it’s the same signal, it’s the same opportunity. If you chose to act on that signal (with your preferred level of automation, see our strategies), it makes sense to think in 1R trades. Which is what is shown on the chart: entry (orange), stop (our planned risk, red) and target (green). (Our strategies, PRO STR, BT and BTX, allow you to devise masterful, self-adjusting trailing stops, if you choose to use them in your trade management.) If your target gets hit before your stop does, we have what we call a “1R trade”.
Note the upper left corner of our charts: that’s where we display messages to help you trade better and with confidence. There is no Setup message on the 240m chart at the moment, and the reason is simple: the trade has triggered, the setup has become a trigger (which is shown as the blue arrow). The point being, you either have a setup or a trigger, one or the other: when the setup becomes a trigger, it’s not a setup any more, so the message disappears. Makes sense.
As an example, look at the weekly chart: we have a Long setup message. Why? Because we have a long setup on the weekly timeframe. If and when we get a trigger on this chart, we’ll get a blue arrow, and at that moment, the green setup message will disappear. You may note the messages on the daily chart as well. Yes, we are shown a Short setup on the daily chart. And that is correct (the math in our algo makes no mistakes). But it will probably never evolve into a trigger on the daily, given the structure on the weekly timeframe. (Remember: not every setup becomes a trigger.)
All this and more is available for study in our Documentation, your best resource on your journey to become and stay a successful trader.
While we don’t see anything in all the above that even remotely resembles rocket science, there are many pitfalls along your journey of becoming a successful trader. Staying focused in the sea of misinformation is certainly one of them, but we’ll get to that in another post.
